Finally I got a Sunday all to myself. Today I didn’t do anything, just stayed home and enjoyed the beautiful view from my desk. Alcatraz looked blurry with all the rain, but it was a nice view nonetheless.
I was sore from an intense workout week, so staying home was giving my body a chance to recover. I try to make Sundays my do whatever I want day. And by that I mean, not working out if I don’t want to, and eating whatever I feel like. I usually do quite bad on Sundays and end up ordering pizza, but not today!
I am not a cook per se, but I know how to fix myself some quick dish; healthy and nutritious. I don’t usually bake either, but I was craving something sweet after dinner today.
These may not sound like the most appetizing cookies in the world, since they are quite healthy, but they actually taste good, they require minimal work, you probably have all the ingredients in your pantry, and yes, anybody can bake them. I know, this is not a recipe blog, but keep this recipe handy for when you crave sweets.
Great Tasting Healthy Oatmeal Cookies:

Ingredients:
- 3/4 cups of milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup of oil
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 2 cups of oatmeal (uncooked)
- 1 and 1/2 cup of flour (wheat is best)
- 1/2 cup of raisins
- 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 teaspoon baking soda, orange peel.
Mix all the liquids first, then add the rest of the ingredients. Form the cookies with a spoon, place them on a baking sheet, and bake for about 17 minutes at 350 degrees.
Enjoy!
